Calls to Destroy Israel From Within Hebrew University

Once again, calls to destroy the Jewish State and to expel the Jews from Israel were heard in Jerusalem's Hebrew University.

The inciting protest was filmed by IMTI activists - who quickly arrived at the scene but were barred by campus security from staging a counter demonstration - and was then sent to the media for the whole country to see.

After the protest, IMTI activists distributed pro-Israel advocacy material and waved Israeli flags throughout the campus. We will continue to be the leading voice against these disgraceful activities in Israeli academia.

Bar-Ilan U Succumbs to Anti-Zionist Political Correctness

This week, Bar-Ilan University's Dean of Students prohibited IMTI student activists from distributing the movement's "Nakba Nonsense" booklets because they "relate to the narrative of other groups."

Evidently, it is permissible to falsely accuse Israel of committing genocide and ethnically cleansing Palestinian Arabs in 1948, but it is prohibited to refute these outrageous lies.

In response to this absurd decision, IMTI activists proceeded to hand out hundreds of booklets outside the university grounds to students who were eager to learn the truth.

Talking Israel with Daniel Pipes

President and founder of the Middle East Forum, Daniel Pipes, sat down with Im Tirtzu Chairman Matan Peleg to discuss Zionism, the Middle East and the future of the Jewish state.

Campus Activities, Events and More

IMTI's fifteen student branches continued to promote Zionism throughout Israeli campuses with dozens of pro-Israel activities.

In addition to the "regular" campus activities, next week IMTI's Ben-Gurion University branch will be hosting the first lecture of its Seminars for Zionist Thought featuring Israel Hayom editor-in-Chief Boaz Bismuth; the Tel-Aviv University branch is bringing General Uzi Dayan, MK Oded Forer and Mr. Yariv Oppenheimer for a special Israel Victory Project panel; and the Bar-Ilan University branch is organizing a student tour to Hebron.

Continuing the Fight Against BDS from Within

Preventing a Gov-Sponsored BDS Conference in Be'er Sheva

This week we approached the mayor of Be'er Sheva with the request to cancel a conference of the pro-BDS group "Coalition of Women for Peace," which was set to take place in a government-funded venue in Be'er Sheva and discuss tactics to boycott companies in Judea & Samaria.

Following the request, the mayor announced that he is ordering the cancellation of the event.

Countering Lawfare From Within

Adalah, a radical Israeli NGO backed by the New Israel Fund and foreign governments, submitted a petition to Israel's Supreme Court that would obligate Israel to return the five bodies of Islamic Jihadist terrorists who were killed when the IDF destroyed a terror tunnel earlier in the month.

In response, IMTI submitted a counter petition to the Supreme Court that would condition any return of such bodies on the return of the bodies of Hadar Goldin z'l and Oron Shaul z'l.

Adalah shortly after withdrew their petition due to technical reasons.

Removing Gov Funding from Anti-Zionist "Israel Social TV"

Following a letter sent by Im Tirtzu to Minister of Communications Ayoob Kara calling on the government to stop funding the anti-Israel organization "Israel Social TV," Minister Kara announced that he has freezed their funding.

"Israel Social TV" is an anti-Israel organization funded by the New Israel Fund and foreign governments that promotes the BDS movement, draft-dodging, accusations of apartheid and more.

Working to End Taxpayer Funding of Haaretz

Over the past several months IMTI has been pushing to remove the notorious anti-Israel newspaper Haaretz from the national advertising budget, which provides the paper with millions of shekels of taxpayer funds every year.

After numerous efforts, including a letter to the Culture Minister, the coalition chairman David Bitan announced that he is working on a plan that would significantly cut government funding of Haaretz.

Jerusalem Now & Forever in Montreal

Last week Im Tirtzu's Jerusalem Now & Forever photo exhibit was featured in Montreal's Kandy Gallery, one of the largest solo artist galleries in North America.

The exhibit features 50 stunning photos from the renowned photographer Sharon Gabay, and speaks volumes about the great things that a unified Jerusalem under Jewish sovereignty has brought: tolerance, co-existence, mutual respect and freedom of religion.

We don't have the backing of the New Israel Fund or European governments. But we have you.
